Community Service

Mecklenburg Paint Company believes in giving back to our community.  We are involved in and sponsor several service projects in the area.  We support Habitat for Humanity, the Ronald McDonald House, Classroom Central, Bright Blessings, and Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure (Queen City in Pink) to name a few. If you would like more information on the charities we sponsor, please contact us!

Queen City in Pink

Is a reminder to stay vigilant in the fight for a breast cancer cure and is touching tribute to breast cancer survivors and those who have been affected by or lost their lives to the disease. Queen City in Pink happens every fall in Uptown Charlotte and is organized by CREW and partnered with Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure to turn buildings and fountains across the city pink. Liz works to promote the display of pink across the city on many of the buildings we paint in!

Ronald McDonald House

Provides a “home away from home” for families so they can stay close by their hospitalized child at no cost. Our own CEO, Liz Etheredge, takes time out of her busy week to volunteer with BOMA at the Ronald McDonald House, helping to feed families while they stay.

Classroom Central

Functions as a Free Store for teachers and serves as an invaluable resource for the Charlotte area. Partnered with the Building Owners and Managers Association – BOMA – a network of professionals involved in building ownership, management, development and leasing. Local chapters feature advocacy, education, conferences and community outreach, Liz Etheredge volunteered with other BOMA Committee Members at Classroom Central sorting donated goods to be packaged and distributed to students and teachers in need.

Habitat for Humanity

A non-profit Christian housing organization that builds affordable housing, in partnership with low income families, volunteers and donors. A few from the Mecklenburg Paint Company team and some of our best clients have volunteered for Habitat for Humanity to help build houses through IREM.
